Foundation laid in 1913 And construction completed in 1924 Standing tall since then.... Black and white, To red and bright, From just a monument, To glory in sight, With an architecture of Indo-Saracenic, It provides a beauty scenic, Making it a delight to watch, Just like a scoop of butterscotch, It also holds the agitation, Of British conquest and colonization, And captured the contentment, Of living in a nation independent, As it saw the last troops leave, For an independent India to weave, It is a definite jewel in the crown, Now synonymous to Mumbai town, From Black and white, To red and bright ~Kartik Garg
